Smokers Lines
Lines around the mouth occur due to ageing, sun-exposure and repetitive mouth movements such as smoking (hence the name)! They are associated with feathering of lipstick and contribute to an ageing appearance.
Treatment
During the consultation process we will exam if these lines are present at rest or during movement only. This will determine the treatment type required. To treat smokers’ lines or barcode lines we can use anti-wrinkle injections or dermal filler. The right skincare can also help to improve the quality of the skin and provide much needed hydration to this area to soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
