Your Eyes
- If this is your first visit, please allow time to find us. We are located on the second floor of the Williamstown Centre in Ardkeen, Waterford (beside WLR FM).
- There is free parking in front of the building but space is limited. There is additional parking on the road outside and in adjoining premises.
- Please check in 15 minutes before your appointment so we can fill out a questionnaire. Alternatively, we can email this to you in advance.
- If you need to re-schedule an appointment, we ask that you give us at least 48 hours’ notice and that the new appointment be no more than 2 weeks later.
- Please note that payment is expected on the day. We accept cards and cash, but not cheques. If you have health insurance, please bring your details.
- During the consultation itself, your vision will be measured on a wall chart. Dilating drops are instilled (if needed). Please remember that you will not be able to drive for at least 6 hours after dilating drops. You may be sent for retinal imaging prior to your consultation.
- Examination usually involves a slit lamp microscopy of the eye, including a pressure check. Your condition will be explained to you and a management plan agreed.
- If surgery is required, we will discuss any complications, the type of anaesthetic, post-operative care and likely time scales. There is no waiting list for emergency retinal cases. They are carried out as soon as possible.
Your Face
- If this is your first visit, please allow time to find us. We are located on the second floor of the Williamstown Centre in Ardkeen, Waterford (beside WLR FM).
- There is free parking in front of the building but space is limited. There is additional parking on the road outside and in adjoining premises.
- Please check in 15 minutes before your appointment so we can fill out a questionnaire. Alternatively, we can email this to you in advance.
- If you need to re-schedule an appointment, we ask that you give us at least 72 hours’ notice and that the new appointment be no more than 2 weeks later.
- When you book an appointment, we ask that you pay a deposit of €90. This is redeemable against any treatment on the day.
- Please note that payment is expected on the day. We accept cards and cash, but not cheques. If you have health insurance, please bring your details.
- In the case of late arrivals, we cannot guarantee the full allocated duration of the appointment, out of courtesy to the next client. In such cases, the late client will also incur the full cost of treatment.
- Please arrive without makeup. If this is not possible, we can provide you with makeup remover. We can also provide you with mineral makeup if you are returning to work after treatment (except in cases of peels, micro-needling and certain dermal fillers).
- Your initial consultation is usually around 45 minutes. We discuss your skincare concerns and devise a bespoke treatment plan. It may be useful to bring some old photos. We will never force you into any treatment and you are of course free to go home and think about it before committing to anything.
- If you are unwell, have a cold sore, or are on antibiotics, we cannot treat you on the day as there is a risk of infection spread.
